Vitalik Buterin created the blockchain platform Ethereum, which functions as a world computer that runs decentralized applications. The value of its cryptocurrency Ether went up in the year 2017 to reach a market cap of nearly $30 billion. Aside from leading Ethereum and also working on upgrades on its protocol, Vitalik also co-founded Bitcoin Magazine.
