The economist and bitcoin researcher Jon Matonis is involved with the Bitcoin Foundation as co-founder and Founding Director. Matonis is a Board Member at the Genevan cryptocurrency investment and advisory firm First Global Credit and a chariman of the bitcoin and derivatives exchange Globitex.
